Uptown Theater tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a spot that’s got a little bit of history and a whole lot of charm? The Uptown Theater in Providence, RI, is just that place. It’s been around long enough to have stories, but still keeps up with the times, like upgrading their sound system back in 2016, which made watching movies and catching live acts way better. I mean, I’ve been there for a Prince tribute night, where local bands rocked out and they showed Purple Rain, honestly, it was a blast. And get this, in 2015 they were one of the first spots in Rhode Island to broadcast the Grammy Awards live, pulling in over 600 folks. Plus, if you’re into seating options, the mezzanine offers a sweet angle, perfect for catching the action from above without missing a thing. Planning a big night out? They do group bookings too, so grabbing seats for your crew is easy. It’s smack dab near Waterman and Angell Streets, surrounded by cozy coffee shops, perfect for grabbing a coffee before or after. So yeah, whether you’re there for a concert, a flick, or just to soak in the vibe, the Uptown Theater is a Providence gem you’ll want to check out.
